We're based in the EU and charge Value Added Tax (VAT) to EU customers. The VAT rate is adjusted based on your billing country during checkout.
Product prices always include VAT, so EU customers don't pay more than non-EU customers. On the checkout page, net product prices are adjusted based on your VAT rate, so the net price and tax amount equal the advertised product price.
We adjust net product prices for EU customers based on VAT rates to ensure everyone pays the same end price, whether they're charged tax or not. So removing VAT for customers with a VAT number would still result in the same total cost.
So here's a workaround. Enter your first and last name (or company name) in the "First name" field and enter your VAT ID in the "Last name" field of your billing details during checkout.
You'll be charged VAT, but your VAT ID will appear on the invoice we send after your purchase. You can then submit this invoice to your financial institution as a business expense and recover the VAT fee.
Yes, we provide special pricing for students and teachers. Contact our customer support and provide us some education documents for verification, like a student ID card with an expiry date.

Credit and debit card payments will also be secured through the 3D secure procedure. Regarding your card details, we do not and cannot store any credit card info since we never have access to it ourselves. All purchases are handled through our very secure third-party payment gateways — Stripe for credit and debit card payments and PayPal for PayPal payments.
